Long Arm Quilting
Quilt Preparation:
Quilting is an expensive hobby. I will take care to enhance your quilting in every way possible. I have some pantographs for you to choose from. To get the results you desire, please follow these simple instructions:
-
Press all seams.
-
Trim excess threads.
-
When piecing your quilt back, please remove the salvages and press open your seams. Also, please make sure your backing is square.
-
Both the backing and batting should be at least 6 inches longer and wider than the quilt top.
-
All layers should be separate. Do not baste or pin your quilt together.
Quilting Process:
-
To keep your cost down, the only two types of quilting offered are - stippling, which is often compared to puzzle pieces, or Pantograph quilting, which is quilting using an all over design.
-
Before quilting, we will discuss exactly what type of quilting you desire. If I don't have the exact pantograph pattern, there are many websites offering patterns and we can find a design that will work for you.
-
I use both cotton and polyester threads, and have many colors for you to choose from.
-
If you need batting, I will be happy to supply it for you for a small fee.
-
You can call anytime to reserve your quilting time. From that date, I generally have a one week (or less) turnaround.
